Diabetic wounds are a significant complication of diabetes and a global public health problem. There has been no wound-washing intervention using the hydro pressure technique as a wound washer tool for diabetic ulcer Biofilm. The aim is to determine the effect of the hydro pressure technique as a wound washer on biofilm for diabetic foot ulcer patients. The methodology research in this study used the pre-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test approach. The sampling technique was carried out using total sampling. The total sampling of this study is 25 respondents in criteria inclusion in this area. The research instrument used was a biofilm observation sheet. The statistical tests used were univariate and bivariate, using paired sample t-tests. The results show that there is a significant difference between the values of the biofilm observation sheet before hydro pressure is performed and after hydro pressure is performed on diabetic ulcer patients. The hydro pressure technique can reduce the average value of biofilm in the wound healing process. This research contributes to recommending that diabetic ulcer sufferers use the hydro pressure technique to remove biofilm in the wound healing process.
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Nursing Informationhttps://journal.qqrcenter.com/index.php/ijni/article/view/59Nursing Knowledge and Practice in Self-Care Compliance in Heart Failure Patients: A Systematic Review2024-06-16T16:08:29+00:00Istianah Istianahistianah.phd@gmail.comFaridah Binti Mohd Saidfaridah.msaid@lincoln.edu.myNisha Nambiarnisha@lincoln.edu.myTonika Tohritonikatohri@gmail.comMuhammad Deri Ramadhanmhderiramadhan94@yahoo.comTentry Fuji Purwantipurwantitu@gmail.comNinda Aina Juwitanindaaina@gmail.com
The disease that causes the number 1 death in the world is cardiovascular disease. Assessment scales such as the pregnancy anxiety rating scale questionnaire (PARSQ), pregnancy sleep quality questionnaire (PSQQ), pregnancy knowledge level questionnaire (PKLQ), and birth readiness questionnaire (BRQ) need to be developed according to current conditions and real-life situations to serve as primary screening tools before proceeding with further treatment for pregnant women. This study aims to develop specific research measurement tools for pregnant women and validate the PARSQ, PSQQ, PKLQ, and BRQ questionnaires. The research method employed a qualitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 20 pregnant women, followed by statistical testing of questionnaire validity and reliability. The results showed that the calculated values (r-value) for the PARSQ, PSQQ, PKLQ, and BRQ questionnaires were greater than the critical value (r-table) of 0.359, indicating that the items in these four questionnaires are valid. The reliability test results used Cronbach's alpha for all four questionnaires, indicating that the questionnaires are reliable. In conclusion, the PARSQ, PSQQ, PKLQ, and BRQ questionnaires can be used to detect the health conditions of pregnant women. This research's contribution, through the use of questionnaires, can offer an effective tool for collecting and analyzing data needed to understand the phenomenon of pregnancy and improve existing theories and practices. Further research is recommended with a larger sample size of pregnant respondents.
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Nursing Informationhttps://journal.qqrcenter.com/index.php/ijni/article/view/62Ocimum Tenuiflorum Linne: A Narrative Review2024-06-18T16:18:49+00:00Dwi Pratiwi Kasmaradwipratiwi.kasmara@gmail.comNurbaiti Br. Non-pharmacological therapy involving knowledge and practice of breast self-examination (BSE) is a straightforward, incredibly affordable, non-invasive initial diagnostic technique for early breast cancer diagnosis. The objective of this study is to examine women's knowledge and practices about breast self-examination. The method is a systematic review using PRISMA. Data sourced from searches in PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar were conducted to identify relevant published studies. The data was restricted to English-language articles on women's knowledge and practice of breast self-examination published during the previous five years. The results show 15 articles that explain the knowledge and practice of breast self-examination carried out by women. The majority of women have heard of BSE but do not fail to carry out BSE regularly every month. The majority of evaluated studies demonstrated a notable correlation between participants' knowledge of breast cancer and their age, marital status, and level of education. The conclusion is that women's knowledge and practice of breast self-examination are still lacking. Hence, it is imperative to develop techniques that might enhance the awareness and adoption of breast self-examination. Although breast self-examination is generally part of a prevention and monitoring strategy, it does not replace medical or pharmacological care. The contribution of this study is to provide information that breast self-examination has several important contributions in the context of breast health and early detection of breast cancer.
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Nursing Informationhttps://journal.qqrcenter.com/index.php/ijni/article/view/63Child Development Levels of Stunting Children Under Five Years: A Case Study in Indonesia2024-06-21T09:59:32+00:00Wiwik Utamiwiwikutami.phd@gmail.comNorhashima Abd Rashidnorhashima@lincoln.edu.myAgus Ari Afandimister.ari.afandi@gmail.comSiti Patonahsitipatonah73@gmail.comSri Mulyanisri.mulyani@rajekwesi.ac.id
Children under five years of age who experience stunting are at risk of experiencing physical, mental, social, and language development barriers. Non-pharmacological approaches to stunting are essential because stunting refers to a lack of growth in children. Therefore, a developmental examination, namely a pre-developmental screening questionnaire, must be conducted to identify non-pharmacological needs. The research aims to identify the development of stunted children. Descriptive research design, the population of all children experiencing stunting in the working area of the Mejuwet Health Center, Bojonegoro Regency, in 2023. The sample was 29 respondents, with purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaire sheets, and then editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating were carried out, followed by analysis. The results of the study showed that 31% of respondents with stunted children under the age of five experienced deviant development, 55.2% had questionable development, and only 18.3% had development that was appropriate for their age. Appropriate stimulation for the growth and development of children aged 48-59 months consists of several important activities, namely stimulation of gross motor skills, fine motor skills, speech and language, socialization, and independence. By involving children in these activities, we can help stimulate their development holistically. Monitor the child's growth and development regularly by having regular check-ups with health workers. The contribution of this research is recommended that the child's mother utilizes a non-pharmacological approach by providing support by inviting the stunted child to play puzzles, draw, color, and write to increase creativity, support speech, and increase socialization with peers.
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Nursing Information
